Veterinary Surgeons

Terry Hicks, MS, DVM

Dr. Hicks is a Texas A&M University graduate. He brings to the Centre an extensive career in Equine Practice. His practice experience and professional associations in Kentucky and Texas brings added International diversity into the Centre. Terry and Rita Uechtritz, his wife and practice manager, are proprietors of the Muswellbrook Veterinary Hospital, Pty., Ltd.

Jennifer Price, B.V.Sc (Hons 1).

Jennifer is a local to the Upper Hunter. She grew up on a farm East of Scone. After practising further afield she returned to Muswellbrook in 1998 to devote her time to the care of companion animals. Her experience in small animal medicine & surgery and her gentle & caring nature is appreciated by all who visit the small animal department of MVH.

Matthew Zondagh, BVSc

Matthew graduated from Brisbane University at the end of 2003. He works with both large and small animals.

Nursing Staff

Christine Thompson

Christine has been working at the practice since 1999, nursing since 2002. She is still training for Certificate 4 Vet Nursing and will graduate at the end of 2004. Christine keeps a menagerie of 2 dogs and 3 cats, tropical fish, chooks, rabbit, guinea pigs. Christine and Leanna run a puppy preschool here on a periodic basis.

April Noble

April works primarily in the equine practice. She moved to Muswellbrook from Perth in 2001 and has been with MVH since 2002. April enjoys seeing the world in her travels.

Jessica Wennerborn

Jessica is in her final year of Veterinary Nurse training at the Scone TAFE. Jessica is presently employed at the surgery one day per week.

Wayne 'Link' Baumann, AFBA, Master Farrier

Wayne "Link" Baumann is a world class "Master Farrier". He brings to this facility an expertise in the art of Therapeutic Shoeing. He has the experience of having studied and worked with the world's leading Farriers and Veterinarians. Link's commitment to excellence is paralleled by his dedication to continuing education. He is frequently invited to share his knowledge and experience with other farriers by participating in speaking and training engagements throughout Australia.

Chris Baumann

Chris has over 20 years experience in the equine industry. She lives near Muswellbrook where she breeds quarterhorses and painthorses. Chris is responsible for managing the Farrier's shop, including inventory, ordering and sales. She can be contacted on 0407631750.
